"Tiny" questions you need to ask

Hi, Love!

I know you know this email goes out to my whole list... so if you're one of my private clients, 🚨 Warning: I'm about to spill the beans on myself...

There are a few very specific words I use with clients that are sneakily the reason they get life-transforming results in the work we do together. And they're subtle. I'm sure my clients don't think twice about me saying them. Which is exactly why they work.

It's this subtle communication happening on the conscious, subconscious, and nervous system level that makes my work so potent. And you don't even know it's happening.

For funsies... I thought it'd be fun to take a peek behind the curtain and share a few of them.

The first word is simply... “We.”

You are not in a launch. We are in a launch.

You don’t have to figure out how to juggle everything on your plate. We get to unravel everything that’s on your plate.

"What are we doing today?"
"What are we working on today?"
"Where are we feeling the pressure?"

Am I literally doing those things for my client? No. But words matter. Frequency matters.

✨ Why this works:

When you’re in the thick of it, the word “we” subconsciously turns “your problem” into something shared. It takes some of the pressure off your shoulders. It intrinsically implies that I’m in it with you, no matter what. Even if you’re the one doing all the doing, knowing that we both have our eyes on it relieves so much stress and so much pressure.

Because, as entrepreneurs, sometimes all we really want is to feel seen and have someone else juggle the plates with us. You're capable, it's just exhausting and lonely.

And it’s really hard for the people around you, your family, your clients, your customers, to fully do that for you. This is why I use “we” often. I see you. I'm always in it with you. And using "we" is a simple way for you to feel that.

The next is a phrase... “How does that feel?”

We just planned three weeks of sales emails.
We just scheduled out your next quarter.
We just wrote your checklist for onboarding the new hire.
"How does that feel?"

Strategy means absolutely nothing if your body isn't on board.

If it feels stressful, we go right back to the drawing board. If it feels easy, if it feels doable, if it feels supportive, then I’ve done my job.

✨ Why this works:

I’m not just checking in on the emotion you have around something. I’m checking in on how your body and nervous system respond to the plan. Because if your nervous system isn’t on board, and if it doesn’t feel safe, nothing’s gonna get done.

This is why so many women make a plan, get on board with a strategy... and then it doesn't get done.

No, there's nothing wrong with your motivation or ambition. And you know that... so why don't you follow through? Because your nervous system isn't on board.

So simply checking in with how a plan feels tells me everything I need to know about whether you're actually going to follow through or not.

Another favorite of mine is... “And what do you need to get that done?”

A lot of my work with clients is literally creating the step-by-step roadmap to their goal.

Writing a book.
Putting out an EP.
Expanding their business into multiple cities.
Having a baby.
Creating online offers.
Building operational systems for sustainable business growth.

I’ve helped women do so many things across so many industries. They always know what they want, they just need support and clarity that helps the steps feel doable instead of overwhelming.

But when I can feel that my client is under pressure, whether that’s financial pressure, timeline pressure, fear, or just the pressure of being human, we create the to-do list, we create the plan, we create the schedule…

And then sometimes I pause and ask:

"Okay, and what do you need in order to get that done?"

Do we need a nap before we write those emails?
Does the house need to be quiet?
Do we need to turn on some music and grab a glass of rosé?

✨ Why this works:

It doesn’t matter if you technically have the time. And it doesn’t matter if you technically have the plan.

As a woman, if you do not feel resourced emotionally, cognitively, or physically, you are probably not going to do the thing.

And this is the piece so many people miss.

They think, “I should just be able to get it done.”
Writing this email should be easy.
Creating content should be easy.
Client work should be easy.

And it is… when you’re resourced.
When you’re rested.
When you feel good.
When you’re having fun.

And this is the question no one ever asks themselves. It's the one that goes beyond "what do I need to do, when can I do it..."

Simply...

"What do you need in order to get that done… besides just your willpower?" And with that, my clients are checking in... tending to their deeper needs, resourcing themselves, taking better care of themselves, and creating more capacity rather than just checking boxes.

Ok, one more...“Why do you think that worked?”

If something went really well, maybe you sold out a launch, or got a ton of content done during a busy week, or hired someone amazing, or got on stage without an ounce of fear…

A lot of times, you just celebrate it and move on.

But you're missing a HUGE opportunity to maximize your potential, your efficacy, and your success!!

Which is why I always ask my clients:

"Why do you think that worked?"

Because if something worked, that’s data.
That’s information.
That’s evidence.

And evidence can be replicated.

✨ Why this works:

Every trait you have... confidence, motivation, skill, focus, capacity... none of that is isolated to one event or one lucky week. Those things translate across your life.

So when we understand why something worked for you specifically, we suddenly have a tool that’s directly formulated for your brain, your body, your patterns.

Something you can carry into the next challenge, the next phase, the next level.

Recapping what worked for you, on both micro and macro levels, compounds your results exponentially.

These are just a few that flew off the top of my head right now. But I know if I went back through my coaching calls, I’d hear myself repeating the same tiny, intentional questions over and over again.

The kind of questions you’d probably never clock as important, but they make a HUGE difference.

I’m a calculated bitch. I truly am.

Everything from using a small word like “we,” to seeing your patterns, loops, tendencies, and stories from a 30,000-foot lens and guiding you through uncovering them yourself… none of that is accidental.

Part of it is just who I am. But a huge part of it is incredibly calculated and systematic. And it’s exactly what gets my clients their results.

Because I’m working on the conscious, subconscious, and nervous system level half the time without you even realizing it.

Tricky little bitch. 😘

It's my way of making deep, transformational work approachable, subtle, and natural while you think we're just making plans and taking notes.

It's a system I've developed over years of working side-by-side with founders, leaders, and highly capable women, and I thought it'd be fun to loop you in to just one of the levels that makes my work transformative and actually stick.

With Gratitude,

P.S. How to work with me:

Hi, Love! I had a client write about me in her newsletter email. She didn't mention me by name… But I knew it was about me. Nothing that she wrote was a surprise. We spent almost a year working towards this exact moment! She hired me to help unravel the overwhelm and reactivity of running a book-out, in-person gym. What we ended up building was so much more than that. If you also want to... Simplify, stabilize, and strengthen what already exists so your life feels more manageable,...

Hi, Love! I posted an Instagram reel recently that outlined the planning method I use for myself and clients that not only creates efficient, potent productivity... but prioritizes self-care as well. It's the planning framework I use for peaceful productivity. Since the gram loved it so much, I wanted to break it down for you in more depth here. I joke that this process actually frustrates my clients (which it does) because it makes you be super duper realistic about the time you actually...

Ok... "I’ve already done so much work on my people pleasing and boundaries.""I actually teach self-care to others.""I have a really solid vision for where I’m going.""I’m really in a good place in business.""I’m extremely productive." These aren’t things my clients say after we work together. It’s what they say on our very first call. Because I work with women who have done the work.Who have success.Who say to me, “I know, I’ve worked on this stuff before.” And I get it. Trust me, I totally...
