How to schedule your day for peaceful productivity

Hi, Love!

I posted an Instagram reel recently that outlined the planning method I use for myself and clients that not only creates efficient, potent productivity... but prioritizes self-care as well.

It's the planning framework I use for peaceful productivity.

Since the gram loved it so much, I wanted to break it down for you in more depth here.

I joke that this process actually frustrates my clients (which it does) because it makes you be super duper realistic about the time you actually have to work with every day if you truly want to feel productive and well taken care of.

Warning - it will press on the part of you that feels like you can get so much done in a day. It will force you to be really intentional about what you do work on. And as a result, you'll move the needle forward by doing less while taking better care of yourself.

This is a planning method I developed over the years, and I encourage you to give it a try... if productivity and self-care are your thing.

STEP 1: Choose your Start & End times

This is literally setting a working boundary for yourself. It doesn't matter if you work from 9 to 5, 11 to 2, or 7 pm to 10 pm... the point is you choose a timeframe to start and end.

One of the biggest contributing factors to burning yourself out is working "until things are done" and "always being on".

If you want to feel present with your family at dinner time, be able to make plans without work bleeding over, and be efficient with your time... choose your workday hours.

STEP 2: Add your main meals & startup routine

Adding in your morning routine & FOOOOOOD!!!

OMG - the number of meals I skipped to just "finish this last thing" when I first started is really what drove me to feeling depleted. It's so easy to skip or skimp on food as an entrepreneur.

I KNOW you KNOW what I'm talking about.

PS - See the end of this email for a tangent on morning routines.

STEP 3: Brain breaks

Your brain needs a break. I have a whole lesson on your Ultradian Rhythm (work-rest cycle) in my free module of The Overwhelm Detox. You can access & binge it here.

For the most effective productivity, your brain and nervous system neeeeeed breaks, and if they aren't planned, they are often the first thing to get skipped.

Schedule in at least 1 brain break. They are most effective when they are between 15 and 30 minutes long.

STEP 4: Standing Appointments

As a coach, I have a lot of weekly calls, so I add the scheduled meetings, appointments, and pickups.

When my clients use this planning methosd, this is about the time they start to feel uncomfortable. Because once you create the framework around actually taking care of yourself (start/end times, meals, breaks) and add in your commitments...

You realize you don't have much time to get the looooong list of things done.

AND THIS IS A GOOD THING!!!!

When you're realistic about how much time you actually have after caring for yourself, rather than leaving your personal hours, meals, and routines as an afterthought...

You are forced to get really really really really really intentional about what you work on. So this planning framework isn't just about resourcing yourself, it's about prioritizing what actually moves the needle forward in your life and business vs just being busy all day.

When "your whole day is open," you unintentionally work on things that are more busywork than business work. I see it over and over again with the women I work with. Most of their overwhelm comes down to two things:

  1. Not taking great care of themselves - filling their cups first, nourishing themselves, resourcing, etc
  2. Being really fucking busy yet wondering why they aren't where they feel like they should be in life or business

When I tell you every client of mine eventually says "damn, I'm getting more work done, but I feel less busy"... I mean it.

OK - back to the next steps

STEP 5: Adding in your to-do list

This is where you look at your loooooong ass to-do list and say, "What is the most important, needle-moving task I can do in this time block?"

And BOOM - you're not just busy... you're POTENT AF. Maybe a little pissed off because you're not "getting as much done," but you are getting the right things done.

So many women pride themselves on how much they can do in a day. They're also the ones who need a freaking sabbatical and get uncomfortable with space, rest, and stillness.

How wonderful would it be to feel productive, well taken care of, and potent with your time? I'll tell you...

It feels really damn gooooooood.

I sit down every Sunday and plan each day like this for the following week. I make my Sunday Scheduling ritual feel like a treat! Some chocolate, a little sunshine, maybe some wine...

It's not a chore, it's a 30-minute block of time where I get to indulge in things I love and set myself up for the week ahead.

I've spent years developing frameworks and systems around self-care, identity transformation, capacity expansion, and productivity. All frameworks that are anchored in how women actually work.

You are a living, breathing ecosystem of cycles and rhythms and emotions. And no one else is teaching women how to work with that in order to expand their peace, power, and profit.

If you've been frustrated by time management and productivity tools that don't work...
If you feel like you've done so much identity work but still feel like you're not grounded in the powerful woman that you are...
If you built a life or business that you're ready to enjoy instead of feeling like you're on a hamster wheel...

That's literally what I help women do every day. Just reach out and let me know you're ready for this shift, and we can chat about which container is the best fit for you.

With Gratitude,

My take on morning routines:
They are essential. Absolutely a must-do. BUT the 5 am routine Instagram sells you isn't realistic. So my hack for creating a morning routine you can stick to is to have 3 cups with 3 options

My Cups & Options

🏆 Mind - Meditation, Prayer, Mirror work, Journaling
🏆 Body - Rebounder, Walking, Dancing
🏆 Spirit - Prayer, Oracle deck, Candle lighting

Each morning, just do one option from each cup. That way, I'm free to flow in whatever I'm feeling that day, rather than making a rigid morning routine feel like a chore.

If you're like me and you get bored with routines, try this strategy and watch how each morning routine fills your cup whlile feeling fresh, intuitive, and doable each day.

P.S. How to work with me:

The Power Move - The Mastermind where leaders refine identity, expand capacity, and build the systems & productivity that make their peace, power, and profit inevitable.
Private Coaching - Mentorship for life and business (because they are 100% tied together). This is strategic, grounded support for life and business that meets you at your edges and walks you toward the version of yourself you've been waiting to embody.
The Overwhelm Detox - A 6-Week Reset for you to stop feeling reactive to fires, stress, and day-to-day tasks.

Wondering which space is best for you?

Hi, Love! I had a client write about me in her newsletter email. She didn't mention me by name… But I knew it was about me. Nothing that she wrote was a surprise. We spent almost a year working towards this exact moment! She hired me to help unravel the overwhelm and reactivity of running a book-out, in-person gym. What we ended up building was so much more than that. If you also want to... Simplify, stabilize, and strengthen what already exists so your life feels more manageable,...

Hi, Love! I know you know this email goes out to my whole list... so if you're one of my private clients, 🚨 Warning: I'm about to spill the beans on myself... There are a few very specific words I use with clients that are sneakily the reason they get life-transforming results in the work we do together. And they're subtle. I'm sure my clients don't think twice about me saying them. Which is exactly why they work. It's this subtle communication happening on the conscious, subconscious, and...

Ok... "I’ve already done so much work on my people pleasing and boundaries.""I actually teach self-care to others.""I have a really solid vision for where I’m going.""I’m really in a good place in business.""I’m extremely productive." These aren’t things my clients say after we work together. It’s what they say on our very first call. Because I work with women who have done the work.Who have success.Who say to me, “I know, I’ve worked on this stuff before.” And I get it. Trust me, I totally...
